Introduction：Kobushi isn’t just a pygmy hippo — he’s a symbol of kindness, resilience, and the power of community. Born at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Kobushi belongs to a species that’s incredibly rare, with males making up just 1 in 5 pygmy hippos. That makes him even more special.

Kobushi became the first Japanese pygmy hippo to be tokenized, blending crypto culture with wildlife conservation in a way no one had done before. What started as a fun idea quickly grew into something bigger, as people came together to support a cause that truly matters.

Like his own story, the Kobushi project was abandoned by its creator — but the community stepped up. Today, Kobushi is 100% community-owned and managed. This is a project built on doing good every day, not just chasing hype.

We’ve already donated to Ueno Zoo and animal shelters like Chibawan, that helps protect animals — and we’re just getting started.
